Google Voice, Twitter, SEO, PHP, OmG, WTF, LOL

All right so I’ve been remiss on posting anything here so far…  Figures I’d be a lazy bitch when it comes to my web site.  But really I am doing some behind the scenes type of stuff like learning PHP in my offtime.  I’ve got a crazy idea which will require me to beef up my dusty coding skills.

But man what I really just wanted to throw out there is just my basic overall awe towards what I am going to catagorize as “Modern Wizardry.”  I mean wtf, I just installed Google Voice on my blackberry and got an account up and running and that shit is amazing.

Google Voice is a free service which provides you with a phone number that when dialed can screen your calls, blocked or unknown or both.  It also provides you with free sms messages online or through their application which you install on your phone.  It also takes your voicemails and transcribes them and will even email you them.  The shit is crazy.  I have just started letting people know my new number which will never change ever again which is ###-##Tommy.  I’m even putting a call widget up to the right on the screen there which will allow web callers to call me without them knowing my number.  Straight to voicemail btw which is another thing thats off the hook, you can create a separate voice mail greeting for everyone in your contact list and your standard one.  What can I say, shits Crazy!

Then we got twitter which is amazing in and of itself.  The ability to network yourself and reach out to a multitude of people is unreal, the ability to follow folks and gain instant news from a variety of outlets.  Its the way of the future thats for sure.  If you’re not onboard yet you need to be.  I know facebook and myspace are pretty tight but twitter is just too ez and quick to bother with all the extra shit that comes along with those mediums.

SEO wtf?  Search Engine Optimization.  This shit is crazy too but on a different type of scale.  Its inherently important for websites to become popular, gain in viewers, and bring in more revenue.  For me I’ve gained a total of  well nothing, but I am fascinated by seo and have made it an objective of mine to build traffic up in this site through seo, social networking, google voice, and PHP.

Basically I want to begin today with little knowledge of SEO, PHP and Social Networking and build it up into a highly hit site just through working with these mediums and throwing out a bit of words here and there about shit I always talk about.

Modern Wizardry, Gadgets, Phones, Computers, Iphones, Ipods etc etc etc…
