New Laptop and its a mac OMG!

OMG is right ladies and germs, I’ve went out and got me a new laptop and its a MacBook Pro. I got the little 13″ variety with the 2gigs of ram as the bump in price was too much to justify not just buying some ram online. I tell ya though, this thing is smooth as silk. Silky smooth my brother! I was a bit skeptical about switching to a mac as my only experience with one in the last 15 years was with the old egg shaped one which positively sucked. I have to tell ya though, so far this one has been great. I’ve just gotten through installing most of my apps. I have put all my photos on the machine and got my itunes library moved over and the touch sync’d with it.
So why buy mac? Well, truthfully, I felt that the way that I am heading right now into writing, photography, and even perhaps a bit of video editing this was where its at. I’ve used quick time on the pc to edit my videos with terrible results. Takes forever, turns out choppy or sound free. Its just the wrong platform to be using for that particular function. I’ve not really edited anything with the mac yet, but it has sucked all my home videos off my portable HD and imported them into the tool and it looks simple enough with no choppiness whatsoever. I don’t know if the pc has issues with the codecs that quicktime uses or what but its not as good with working with this stuff from what I’ve seen even with my brand newbiness with the mac.
Hopefully with this new item comes with it new inspiration for continuing on with writing. I had some success so far writing on the Examiner.com site with my Big Brother page and have picked up The Amazing Race there as well.
I’ve been a bit slack of late to which I apologize, but I am planning on killing it this season with #TAR15. I am thinking since the show is a weekly show it will give me added time to focus in on each team during the week. Or at least each team which I deem worthy. But thats that.
As well, I’m looking more into freelance and what it takes. Sitting down and writing is the biggest part of it and the Macbook is all about that for sho. So enough rambling for now. Here are a couple pics of the machine to salivate over.

Good for you-I’ve heard the Mac is far superior to the Windows stuff. I’m also very excited about your desire to do some writing. The stuff I’ve been able to find and read so far has been incredible, you do have a great gift with writing. I’m going to do more of it also once JB & I get traveling.
